Belt promotions and attendance

How attendance is recorded and how it feeds belt promotions.

How do students check in?

Students and parents check in at a kiosk at your front desk. Parents can check their children in and out there too. Instructors can also take attendance from the class roster.

Can I fix attendance after a class?

Yes. Attendance can be entered by hand and reviewed, so a missed check-in can be corrected.

How does Sidekick MAS know who is ready for their next belt?

You set up your ranks and the requirements for each one. Sidekick MAS checks each student's time in rank against them and lists who is eligible. Each student's attendance sits on the same record.

Can I use my own belt system?

Yes. You define your own ranks and curriculum for each program.

What happens on promotion day?

You build a promotion lineup from the eligible students. Then you send promotion notices to them and their families.

What if a student's membership doesn't include a class?

The check-in is refused, and the desk sees why. Sidekick MAS checks the membership at every check-in. If it doesn't cover the class, is frozen or has ended, the desk knows what to do next.
